Blast from the past with Acapulco Gold, this Central American strain has been preserved by Barney’s Farm thanks to recent advances in marijuana genetics. Strong cultural influence, this legendary gold-leafed strain has been around for centuries. Many references have been made in movies and music: 1967 song “Acapulco Gold” by The Rainy Days was band from radio, Zeppelin, the Beatles, Cheech and Chong -‘Up in Smoke’, MF Doom, Streetwear Clothing, Roy Harper, Rush, SNL - host Desi Arnaz to name a few. Gibson named a limited edition acoustic guitar “Acapulco Gold” - the certificate reads: "was created to help you celebrate those special fun times in your life that you really can't remember”. In the 70’s, a lid was about $30-$40 (a 4 finger bag was about an ounce, scales were scarce so they improvised).
