Originating in the Himalayan Mountains, somebody went on the hippie trail and acquired some seeds and gave them to an unknown person in the Horticulture Department at Humboldt State University in in the late 70’s and they knew just what to do with it. Having the largest horticulture facility in the US and perfect “parallel” weather, they secretly grew it. Word travelled and it immediately became one of the top strains, The Emerald Triangle in Northern California was blessed with a potent, hardy, pest resistant, high producing sticky, crystal covered smelly plant. Many strains have been crossed with this Hindu Import. In the 80’s during the drug wars, seeds were taken to Amsterdam for Dutch preservation.
